The AWA Judicial Reception

The AWA Judicial Reception, held each year in October, honors members of selected judicial benches. The honored benches are chosen by the Judicial Reception Committee.

The AWA Judicial Screening Committee

The AWA Judicial Screening Committee offers candidates in all contested elections the opportunity to address the committee and the membership and to seek endorsement by AWA.

The AWA Scholarship Committee

The AWA Scholarship Committee selects recipients for the AWA Foundation Charitable Trust Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to the most deserving second and third year female student at each of the three Houston area law schools. The recipients of these scholarships are announced at the Annual Premier Women in Law Luncheon.
